Description
The Building Supervisor is responsible for managing, maintaining, ensuring safety, and the proper functioning of buildings and their infrastructure. They plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise general building, grounds, and facility maintenance activities.
- Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance work.
- Manage work requests and ensure timely completion.
- Supervise employees under their responsibility as well as external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and fire protection systems.
- Conduct regular building inspections to identify risks and improvement needs.
- Participate in the preparation and tracking of maintenance budgets.
- Control costs and purchases related to buildings.
- Coordinate improvement, renovation, and expansion projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory inspections and required permits.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and maintenance reports.
- Collaborate with various departments to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- Relevant education in building mechanics, electromechanics, industrial maintenance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management.
- Experience in supervising personnel.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulatory requirements.
