As a Water Treatment Technician in the mining sector, you will work in a heavy, highly formalized, and health and safety-focused industrial environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the water treatment facilities of our various mining clients.

Work conditions

  • Fly-in/Fly-out work schedule: 14 to 21 days of work followed by 14 to 21 days of leave;

  • Assignments to remote mining sites;
  • Air travel from Montreal, Quebec, Mont-Joli, or Sept-Îles, and possibly Bagotville, depending on the assigned mandate;

Your daily tasks at Nordikeau include

  • Ensuring the proper functioning of water capture, treatment, and distribution facilities for domestic potable water;
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of wastewater collection and treatment facilities for domestic use (multiple sites and technologies);
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of facilities for treating oily water, red water, and stormwater;
  • Ensuring that standards and requirements are met;
  • Collecting samples, conducting tests, analyses, and dosages necessary for the proper functioning and monitoring of facilities;
  • Writing various follow-up reports;
  • Participating in maintenance and repair work, and checking equipment between tours;
  • Being on call, responding to calls, and intervening as needed.
