Join a store owned by pharmacist-owners to help provide services in the health, beauty, and convenience sectors in your community and place the customer at the center of everything you do.
Why is this role important?
SUMMARY
- Handle merchandising and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain an efficient flow of merchandise from the reception area to the sales floor.
- Organize products from the warehouse and follow processes related to warehouse inventory management.
- Ensure that signs and posters are printed and participate in their execution, including circulars, price reductions, and labels.
- Act as an expert in designated product stock sectors, product placement, expiration dates, promotions, etc.
RECEPTION
- Receive merchandise, including that from the distribution center, seasonal products, and direct shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized backroom warehouse according to backroom organization principles.
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is filled out regarding the receipt and return of goods.
- Assist the store manager and assistant manager in maintaining the quality and standards associated with perishable items according to store standards.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Present a clean image to customers according to the uniform policy and dress code (e.g., approved uniform and name tag, clean appearance).
- Initiate greeting and assisting customers in the aisles.
- Answer questions regarding product locations, deferred purchase coupons, and PC Optimum.
GENERAL
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to all store standards.
- Comply with loss prevention policies and ensure they are followed throughout the store.
- Perform other tasks as needed, including cashier tasks.
SKILLS
- Planning, judgment, and decision-making.
- Balance between teamwork and merchandising and reception efficiency to meet store and customer expectations.
- Efficiency, organization, and cleanliness.
- Manage changing situations on the sales floor.
- Cashier responsibilities (if applicable) require accuracy and efficiency in processing customer orders to meet store and customer expectations.
EXPERIENCE
- Basic computer and cashier skills.
- Good organization and ability to maintain records.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends with Monday to Tuesday off, which may include evening shifts.
- Schedule to be determined together according to store needs.
- Part-time, possibility of full-time to be discussed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder.

Hiring Range / Salary Range at Hiring: $16.60 - $18.05 / $16.60 - $18.05 (per hour) A candidate's experience and knowledge as well as the geographical region in which the position is located may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.
