The Strategic Intelligence Specialist is responsible for implementing the latest trends and best practices in strategic intelligence. The incumbent must be able to analyze and propose effective solutions for the development and implementation of strategic intelligence projects and data visualization.
He or she must also demonstrate the ability to take large sets of data and translate them in an interesting and easily understandable way for decision-makers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Conceptualize, design, and develop data visualization solutions that synthesize complex data concepts for executives and key stakeholders using SAP Web Intelligence and Power BI.
- Support the sales team by staying up-to-date with scientific data and data visualization.
- Prepare detailed analyses and research for commercial strategy.
- Implement the latest trends, best practices, and guidelines in strategic intelligence.
- Improve information management and decision support by identifying critical parameters, data sources, and optimal collection and distribution procedures.
- Analyze, model, and monitor commercial and operational objectives against established criteria.
- Develop operational models and analysis techniques to facilitate the evaluation and decision support process.
- Work interfunctionally on various commercial and operational challenges to understand, solve, and implement new solutions aimed at improving the company’s overall commercial performance.
- Support process improvement exercises. Encourage the use of Web Intelligence/Power BI reports, workflow analysis, and integration of related systems.
- Automate and produce reports that increase productivity and facilitate the identification of new revenue opportunities.
- Perform any other related tasks.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- University degree in computer science or mathematics or relevant work experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role;
- Advanced experience in document development with SAP Web Intelligence and dashboard development with Power BI;
- Experience in the travel and tourism industry (asset);
- Advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to build models for managing data and performing robust analyses;
- In-depth knowledge of PC systems and software related to business activities;
- Perfectly bilingual (French and English), both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and meticulousness;
- Demonstrate judgment, professionalism, and team spirit;
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing, for presentation, analysis, and report writing;
- Highly developed organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
- Skill in learning new software and analysis techniques and adapting tools to VAC’s requirements;
- Ability to synthesize complex situations and formulate solutions;
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
- Comfort in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
