We are looking to hire an enthusiastic human resources and social benefits specialist with diverse HR experience, capable of managing the learning of multiple processes and policies, comfortable with autonomy while knowing how to follow directives. You will be concretely involved in the daily tasks of the department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop, recommend, improve, and implement social benefits regimes and policies, while overseeing the administration of existing regimes.
  • Act as an expert in the fields of social benefits, pension regimes, employee stock purchase plan, and group insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial social benefits requirements, monitor vendor performance, and calculate payments to be made.
  • Answer general questions from employees located in various regions of Canada.
  • Administer group insurance regulations and interpret insurance contract clauses.
  • Manage claims related to the CNESST and the WSIB.
  • Possess expertise in defined benefit and defined contribution pension regimes.
  • Manage all types of leaves (parental, short and long-term leaves) for employees across Canada.
  • Lead the adaptation process, ensuring documentation is complete, follow-up is timely, and responses are effective.
  • Propose improvements to business processes, practices, and policies (benchmarking against industry standards and recommending changes) to implement best practices supporting our continuous growth.
  • Participate in the health and safety committee and first aid training.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to continuously compare and improve strategies, processes, programs, policies, and HR tools.
  • Analyze trends and key indicators, anticipate employee needs, and provide added-value service to managers and employees.
  • Offer solutions that favor the performance of the company and individuals, in line with our unique culture and values.
  • Participate in critical projects that have a direct impact on the employee experience, engagement, and retention.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Degree in human resources, labor relations, or a relevant field, combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and/or social benefits management.
  • Knowledge of Canadian provincial and federal legislation.
  • Knowledge of the Dayforce system is an asset.
  • Experience in managing employee social benefits.
  • Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and formulate concrete recommendations.
  • Skill in effectively influencing, leading, and advising at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business practices and the link between HR strategy and business strategy.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
