- Your responsibilities as an Assistant Manager of the Meat Department:
- Assist the Manager in planning and coordinating department activities to achieve sales and profitability goals set by the Director, while respecting the applicable collective agreement;
- Assist the Manager in managing employees;
- Substitute for the Manager when they are absent;
- Must be able to place orders and make purchases for the department;
- Verify the conformity of invoices with delivery notes and ensure the receipt of goods;
- Ensure that the store is ready to receive customers in terms of merchandise quantity, meat display presentation, and stock rotation;
- Ensure the department's business readiness;
- Ensure that product labeling complies with store standards, the head office price list, and the optical scanner price, and ensure that price cards comply with the circular;
- Maintain the freshness of department products at all times;
- Ensure compliance with the marketing of planograms;
- Must be able to create employee schedules;
- Ensure compliance with company policies (receiving, safety, etc.) and health, safety, and hygiene standards;
- Participate in the welcoming, training, and evaluation of employees.
Requirements
- Sec V or equivalent;
- 3 years of experience as a butcher.
