We are looking for a senior designer in mine waste management and geotechnical design to join our team of passionate professionals. Responsibilities

  • Digital product and service design: Research and interpret relevant data, trends, and benchmarks for the design of digital products or services related to mine waste management and geotechnical infrastructure. Participate in the design of digital solutions to support planning, modeling, or rehabilitation of structures.
  • Product and solution development: Work on projects covering the entire lifecycle of works (planning, feasibility, detailed design, rehabilitation). Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of construction and rehabilitation projects for mining sites and geo-structural works (dams, retention works, water management). Plan and manage the work of technical staff and drafters. Contribute to the definition of technical solutions adapted to clients' needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Software application maintenance: Monitor and report on failures in digital or software tools used for project management or technical analysis. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the continuous functionality of tracking or modeling platforms.
  • Quality assurance testing: Ensure the technical review and quality of deliverables under your responsibility. Perform or supervise compliance tests on technical data, plans, and reports produced. Participate in the inspection of structures and works to validate their compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Data collection and analysis: Analyze and coordinate technical data (surveys, topography, bathymetry, GIS, drawings). Gather and analyze data using predefined tools, methods, and formats. Provide analyses to support decision-making in design or rehabilitation projects.
  • Solution analysis: Interpret technical data and propose solutions adapted to identified issues. Assist project teams to ensure that plans and design details comply with quality standards, current regulations, and best practices.
  • Operational compliance: Develop a deep understanding of internal policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations. Ensure that projects comply with regulatory and contractual requirements. Obtain necessary approvals for any deviation from established procedures.
  • Personal capacity building: Participate in continuous training, coaching, and professional development activities. Keep your knowledge up-to-date on technologies, regulations, and best practices in the sector. Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and the continuous improvement of practices.

Required Skills

  • Hold a degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the fields of civil engineering works, geotechnics, mine waste management, transportation, and hydrology.
  • Be proficient in Autocad and 3D modeling software (Civil 3D, Revit, Muk 3D, ArcGIS, etc.).
  • Good communication skills and excellent motivation to complete projects with the team.
