MISSION
Under the direction of the HSE Director, the role of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Prevention Specialist is primarily to support the Ste-Claire plant in maintaining and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze risks and implement prevention policies.
- Train and raise awareness among employees about good practices.
- Supervise the application of safety rules and write reports.
- Drive the environmental policy and reduce impacts (pollution, energy, waste).
- Ensure regulatory compliance (ISO 14001, HACCP).
- Advise management and promote a sustainable HSE culture.
FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Managers (all departments)
- Employees (all departments)
- Health and safety practitioners (CNESST, prevention mutual, consultants)
- Environmental practitioners (Ministry, environmental committee, consultants, auditors)
REQUIREMENTS
- Mastery of HSE laws and regulations;
- Experience in a unionized environment;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Proficiency in Office suite;
- Autonomy, professionalism, and discretion;
- Bilingualism (French/English).

- Frequency rate;
- Number of days without accident;
- Severity rate;
- Sustainable development goals.

The salary scale for this position starts at $80,000 per year. The specific remuneration offered to a candidate within the above scale may be influenced by various factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and location. Moreover, Kerry generally does not hire a person at the top or near the top of the scale as we are a performance-oriented company. This scale is established to continue to reward performance annually during the duration of the role. Remuneration decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
