START DATE BEGINNING OCTOBER / PART-TIME
In collaboration with the director, the incumbent will supervise, coordinate, and plan all activities related to the functioning of their department.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
HUMAN RESOURCES
- Manage human resources (analyze staffing needs, hiring, training, workload distribution, scheduling, overtime authorization, performance evaluation, conflict management, health and safety measures, etc.);
- Apply and enforce company policies, standards, and procedures;
- Create and maintain a positive work environment;
- Cover meals, breaks, leaves, and absences as needed.
MATERIAL, FINANCIAL, AND OPERATIONAL RESOURCES
- Identify and implement best practices in customer service using performance indicators;
- Resolve department-related issues, write and submit reports;
- Periodically evaluate the quality and profitability of services;
- Ensure the production, implementation, application, and optimization of work procedures;
- Ensure the smooth operation of activities by performing daily checks;
- Practice continuous work improvement philosophy;
- Instill SST (Health and Safety at Work) concepts and ensure their application in operations;
- Coordinate activities with other departments (repairs, temporary service suspension);
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the continuity of activities;
- Monitor costs and track the budget;
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the department;
- Review daily reports and follow up as needed;
- Forecast and estimate material and equipment needs;
- Order materials and supplies (uniforms, etc.);
- Monitor inventory;
- Monitor temperature and decide on evacuation times;
- Provide first aid occasionally in case of accidents or incidents;
- Receive customer complaints and follow up;
- Participate in defining performance indicators;
- Complete various registers and forms according to standards;
- Report major issues to management;
- Perform all other tasks related to management.
COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Tourism techniques (DEC)
- Current national lifeguard training, pool option
- Current national lifeguard training, water park option
- Current aquatic surveillance auditor training (SEE)
- Very good knowledge of laws and regulations (Salvation Society) governing water bodies
- 3 to 5 years of experience in personnel management and customer service
- Very good knowledge of the French language
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of the Office suite
