The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a professional member of our EY Private, Business Advisory Services team. Our entrepreneurial (Business) group offers specialized audit, review, and accounting services (audit, review, compilation (readers' reports), corporate and individual taxes) to smaller businesses and individuals.

Your Main Responsibilities

Our methodology and controls, combined with our significant investments in technology, knowledge, and learning resources for our audit professionals, allow you, as a senior accountant, Certification, to provide quality certification services to clients and their stakeholders.

Skills and Qualities to Succeed

  • Prepare audit, review, and compilation (readers' reports) files
  • Prepare individual and corporate income tax returns and other tax forms
  • Assist team leaders with presentations as part of client meetings
  • Understand accounting, audit, and review concepts and apply them to client situations
  • Adapt methodology for audit and review missions to various types of clients
  • Foster an effective, innovative, and team-oriented environment
  • Use technology to learn continuously, share knowledge with other team members, and improve service delivery
  • Perform any other related tasks

To be eligible for this position, you must have

  • a university degree;
  • the title of CPA, CA/CPA, or CGA;
  • at least three years of experience in accounting and the execution of audit, review, and compilation missions;
  • knowledge of Taxprep and Caseware software;
  • advanced knowledge of Word and Excel software;
  • an initiative spirit and a great attention to detail;
  • the ability to work in a demanding environment with tight deadlines;
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure liaison between clients, the team, and external parties;
  • flexibility for occasional travel in the Greater Montreal area;
  • flexibility to work overtime when necessary;
  • This role involves interactions with clients at the national and international level. Therefore, proficiency in both French and English is required to perform this role.

Ideally, you should also have

  • the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, team-oriented environment where things evolve quickly.
