Under the Operations Accounting Director, the successful candidate will focus on the in-depth analysis of plant performance, financial information support for the various plants, and budgetary evaluation of product costs. The core work performed in this position will be crucial in identifying improvement projects aimed at reducing the company's operational costs and maximizing its overall performance. Employee participation will be requested to support certain projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and analyze key production indicators
- Calculate the cost of goods sold according to the project schedule
- Maintain financial performance reports for production lines
- Participate in the budgeting process and monthly follow-up
- Maintain monthly cost analysis reports for the plants and coordinate with plant managers
- Support plants in calculating the yield of improvement opportunities
- Perform investment yield calculations for various projects in collaboration with plant engineering teams
- Ensure the integrity of cost of goods sold data and follow up with various stakeholders
- Analyze inventory accounts and value products
- Ensure the verification of the material consumption process
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on accounting
- Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- Hold a professional accounting title from the CPA would be an asset
- Have experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages (French and English)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent computer skills and advanced Excel knowledge; knowledge of the SAP software would be an asset
- Organization, diligence, and professionalism
