Job Overview
We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic HR advisor to join our employee services team. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of HR experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment within a shared service / center of excellence.
As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-level support to our employees regarding benefits, new hire administration, onboarding, and HR policies and procedures. This role requires a versatile, detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
As an HR Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for employee assistance via our AskHR support portal, answering employee questions and requests by phone, chat, email, and in-person without appointments. You will gather and provide the requested information and take appropriate actions to resolve, refer, or escalate issues in accordance with the company's and HR's policies and procedures, working closely with our on-site HR teams, employees, and management. You will also support the department in the administration of transactional tasks assigned to you.

Responsibilities
- Respond professionally and accurately to employee and manager written and verbal requests regarding HR-related questions, issues, and concerns. This includes interactions by phone, chat, email, and in-person without appointments
- Manage employee changes, special payroll, employee updates, tuition reimbursement requests, and report requests
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation (in-person and remote sessions)
- Collaborate with Center of Excellence partners to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and concerns
- Resolve cases quickly and accurately in a professional, client-focused manner, in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Escalate complex cases for resolution
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience
- HR or related degree preferred
- Knowledge of various HR domains including benefits, employment, and pay/ compensation practices and processes
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment of shared services / center of excellence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of HRIS systems is a plus
- Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and individuals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize various projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
