Service Manager

The Service Manager coordinates the work of the Restaurant Nord service team, in accordance with the overall vision of dining at Strøm. Reporting to the Head Chef, they contribute to the culinary proposal of Strøm, all while working in respect of nature, culinary art, and with the goal of offering an exceptional experience to the clientele.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure a high-quality service in line with Strøm's standards
• Ensure compliance with recipes (coffees and cocktails) and the presentation of dishes
• Work closely with the Head Chef to identify issues and find appropriate solutions
• Participate in the training of new employees
• Ensure good service organization to enhance team performance
• Manage rotations, conduct inventories, and communicate any needs to the Head Chef to prevent stock shortages
• Work closely with the kitchen team to provide an exceptional dining experience to the clientele
• Ensure the cleanliness of service areas and compliance with hygiene standards
• Contribute to the training and integration of new service team members
• Act as a resource person in the absence of the Head Chef

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma (DES) or equivalent
• Hospitality training (an asset)
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in dining room service, including at least one year in team coordination
• Training in hygiene and sanitation (an asset)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Meticulousness, attention to detail, and stress management
• Sense of organization and prioritization

Specifications

• Compensation: Based on experience
• Available Positions: Full-time, between 32 to 40 hours per week
• Variable Schedule: Day, evening, weekdays, and weekends
• Work Location: Île-des-Soeurs
