What you will do on a daily basis

  • In collaboration with the Food Team, you will participate in:
  • Preparing and cooking food;
  • Producing and distributing meals;
  • Complying with food safety and hygiene standards;
  • Receiving and inspecting food products;
  • Preparing a variety of recipes (soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, etc.).

Requirements

  • Hold a recognized DEP in culinary arts from the ministry; OR
  • Hold a DES and have six (6) months of relevant experience as:
  • + Cook;
  • + Food Service Assistant;
  • + Dietician;
  • + Butcher;

+ Baker.

A knowledge test may be required.

Required Availability

  • Available a minimum of 2 days per week;
  • Available on 2 out of 3 shifts (day/evening/night);
  • Night shift is mandatory for the first two years;
  • Available one weekend out of two.
  • Admissibility Conditions

It is mandatory to possess

  • Canadian citizenship;
  • Permanent resident status; OR
  • A valid work permit issued by the federal authority.
