The Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the visual merchandising (VM) strategies provided by the company are implemented and standards are followed. The role executes the presentation of products, style, and marketing elements in-store to optimize the guest experience (i.e., customer experience). The Visual Merchandising Specialist performs key product storytelling, product placement strategies, and stock flow strategies by managing merchandise changes as well as product and mannequin displays, in accordance with company standards and store-specific needs. They also provide a world-class guest experience on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the store management team to bring the VM presentation and guest experience to life on the floor.
- Optimizes the guest experience by following brand standards in performing key product storytelling, product placement strategies, and intuitive store navigation for a world-class and guest-centric experience.
- Executes an effective and visually appealing product presentation that is in line with company standards to improve the guest experience and store stock flow.
- Executes VM changes, including window activations, mannequin outfits, display and label updates, and weekly or seasonal merchandise changes as well as company-driven product initiatives and campaigns, as needed.
- Communicates with guests on the floor to assess their unique needs, offers technical product education, and integrates multi-platform programs into a seamless guest experience from start to finish.
- Provides direct feedback and immediate training on brand standards, product placement, and visual presentation techniques to support team learning and development.
- Fosters a respectful and inclusive team environment by building work relationships with team members.

Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
- Must have the ability to travel to the assigned store using reliable means of transportation.
Schedule and Availability
- Work hours may vary depending on store needs.
- Work shifts typically occur in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Additionally, during busy periods, special events, or other circumstances, some employees' schedules may include early mornings or late evenings/overnight shifts.
Experience
- One year of experience in retail sales or sales-related field.
- Education or experience in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, graphic design, interior design, space planning, or related field.
Assets for the Job (i.e., desirable, but not mandatory).
- Education: High school diploma, general education, or equivalent, or post-secondary education; training or diploma in design or related field.
- Experience (not necessarily related to the essential duties of a role): retail product merchandising, visual merchandising, or inventory management; project or process management, or administration of an aspect of a commercial enterprise.
- Food or beverage experiential stores only: Food safety or liquor service certification.

- The role involves moving boxes, displays, and mannequins weighing approximately 13.6 kg (30 lb), as well as bending, stretching, and sometimes using ladders to reach objects or adjust presentation elements.
- Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary Range
- : $20.25 to $23.30/hour, subject to the minimum wage of the location
- Target Bonus:
- $2.00/hour
- Total Base Salary Range
- : $22.25 to $25.30/hour
