**Full-time position for a 35-hour workweek
Your Mandate
Under the authority of the head of the Scientific Expertise and Statistics and Infocenter unit at the Bureau d’information et d’études en santé des populations (BIESP), the person produces various measures and indicators on the general health status of the Quebec population. More specifically, they are responsible for information systems and ensure the validity and reliability of the data and statistical results they produce. Additionally, they contribute to the implementation of best practices for SAS program development using the SAS Office Analytics software deployed at the Infocenter. They also work in collaboration with expert committees to develop methodological elements related to the production of measures and indicators for health monitoring. Finally, they act as a resource person for users in accessing pre-programmed and parameterizable indicators deployed by the Infocenter.

Your Main Responsibilities
- Exploit and analyze various databases.
- Participate in the evaluation of the validity and reliability of databases.
- Develop and optimize SAS programs for the production of health status measures and indicators of the Quebec population in a high-capacity environment (SAS server).
- Ensure the quality of data, measures, and indicators and other information products disseminated on the Infocenter's information portal.
- Ensure the quality of applied methodologies, the adequacy of statistical methods in relation to the possibilities and limitations of available data.
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices for SAS program development on the environment deployed at the Infocenter.
- Contribute to the definition and design of information products with experts from the Public Health Network.
- Collaborate with the database administrator to continuously improve the data repository.
- Support users of the Infocenter's collective services in their area of expertise.
- Establish links with partner organizations and participate in committees and working groups for methodological and scientific aspects related to the dissemination and exploitation of information in the Public Health Network.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
- Your Profile
KNOWLEDGE
- Hold a Master's degree in statistics.
- A Bachelor's degree combined with at least 3 additional years of relevant experience can compensate for the Master's degree.
- Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in SAS statistical programming.
- Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the development of information systems for health monitoring.
- Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in migrating different exploitation tools from a SAS Office Analytics environment to another.
- Master advanced concepts and techniques of the SAS Macro language.
- Master spoken and written French.
- Master Microsoft Office suite and remote collaboration tools.
- Possess good knowledge of administrative databases and surveys and their structure.
