As a Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for actively participating in the development of the marketing communication strategy. You will also be responsible for executing and monitoring sales, product development, and company communications.

Here’s what you’ll do within the team:

1. Marketing Section

  • Plan and coordinate the various phases of marketing and communication projects and processes, ensuring their follow-up while respecting allocated schedules and budgets for North America;
  • Participate in business/meeting with suppliers in the context of developing the marketing plan or any other relevant project for the company;
  • Coordinate trade shows and participate in any other promotional events in the food industry;
  • Strengthen and protect La Petite Bretonne’s trademarks and logos within the framework of marketing, labeling, sponsorship, and promotion projects;
  • Participate in the approval of various elements of brand visibility (advertisements, communications, labeling, sponsorships, etc.);
  • Develop media strategy to increase the company’s visibility and enhance the notoriety of our brands in various sales markets;
  • Work collaboratively with the strategic marketing agency;
  • Coordinate, analyze, and respond to sponsorship requests;
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing strategy in line with the company’s overall strategy and our growth and development objectives;
  • Actively participate in monthly sales meetings and act as a secretary, drafting the agenda and summary of the meeting;
  • Develop new growth opportunities for our brands and products in collaboration with the sales team.

2. Communication Section

  • Write a monthly newsletter, external press releases, and various promotional and corporate documents in French and English;
  • Develop and manage a social media action calendar for La Petite Bretonne, in line with the marketing plan;
  • Manage and update information published on the various websites belonging to La Petite Bretonne;
  • Act as a spokesperson for marketing communications when necessary: press conferences, interviews.

3. Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by your manager within the scope of your duties;
  • Ensure that all work is of high quality and executed according to the standards established by senior management;
  • Ensure that all work complies with current safety and compliance standards;
  • Perform all tasks safely in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program, and in compliance with the rules and laws;
  • Reflect the company’s values by acting and managing in a respectful, professional, and ethical manner, in compliance with company policies;
  • Commit to continuous personal and professional development, as identified.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or any other relevant training and/or experience;
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Advanced French (oral and written), intermediate English (oral and written);
  • Knowledge and mastery of the Office Suite (advanced), Google Analytics, Photoshop;
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in customer service and support for marketing activities;
  • Availability and authorized to travel outside the province of Quebec (must hold a valid passport for travel outside Canada).
