Location: Hybrid

Reporting to the Pricing Manager of the Sun Advantage Group, you will be responsible for:

• Managing financial risk by analyzing data related to existing client requests or new business opportunities
• Determining the scope of protections we can offer to existing clients or new business opportunities
• Setting premium rates for life insurance, disability, medical expenses, and dental expenses for existing clients or new business opportunities
• Completing client requests while adhering to our service quality standards and meeting deadlines
• Developing a good understanding of the various parameters of group insurance, whether administrative, contractual, or legislative
• Increasing your knowledge of all our products and services, our underwriting guidelines, our systems, and our tools
• Working closely with our sales and service team to develop a strong partnership between our departments and to advise and guide them towards achieving our profitability goals

The Sun Advantage market is designed to serve small and medium-sized businesses (3-49 lives) that are served by group insurance brokers.

Skills for Success

• Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required due to frequent interactions with internal colleagues or partners who are bilingual and bicultural across Canada or worldwide
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite
• Good knowledge of group insurance regimes will be an asset
• University degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Administration, Finance, Accounting, or relevant experience for the role
• Certification in group insurance will be an asset
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• A structured and systematic approach to contributing uniquely to various exceptional situations while adhering to internal policies and directives
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work both alone and in a team, under pressure, in an organized, efficient, and autonomous manner
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm to work in a constantly evolving work environment
• Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written

The base salary scale is for the main location of the advertised position. It may vary according to the candidate's location and other factors. In addition to the base salary, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive compensation programs, the amount of which is discretionary and depends on the employee's performance and the company's performance. Some sales positions participate in incentive compensation programs based on individual or group sales results.
