The Level 1 Analytical Scientist is responsible for providing support for routine sample analysis while becoming familiar with the procedures and SOPs in place at the laboratory.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform all activities related to the processing and analysis of biological samples.
- Record activities related to sample analysis and assist in the verification of various documents.
- Initiate analysis series using the appropriate instruments and software.
- Monitor result analysis and assist in finding solutions to bioanalytical problems.
- Assist in the disposal of chemical and biological waste produced by laboratory employees and assist in the cleaning of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Perform support tasks to meet the needs of laboratory users.
- Responsible for performing activities in accordance with company and division policies, standardized operating procedures, and applicable operation guides, and performing other tasks assigned by management.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in sciences.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency, especially related to the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical software.
- Basic understanding of the requirements of analytical chemistry.
- English language level; bilingualism required including the understanding of simple messages and basic instructions.
- Another relevant certification could be considered acceptable.
