The Facilities Management Coordinator provides operational and maintenance services for client-partner facilities. The incumbent manages and administers contracts related to facilities management, maintenance, and small-scale construction contracts. They coordinate the activities of contractors, client-partners, and third parties, and organize meetings regarding contract services. The incumbent may be called upon to prepare or review maintenance management plans, conduct building systems inventories, and examine data and reports within the computerized maintenance management system.

Main tasks

  • Manage and administer contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements (e.g., ensure activities meet contractual requirements, conduct safety inspections, and manage service providers, including consultants and contractors, to ensure they meet client-partner requirements and contractual obligations).
  • Provide support for maintenance programs to ensure buildings and building systems remain energy-efficient (e.g., determine maintenance and repair needs, examine data and reports within the computerized maintenance management system, prepare estimates and technical reports).
  • Provide support for the operation and maintenance of facilities (e.g., coordinate services related to electricity, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, building automation systems, fire detection and suppression, electronic security, communication systems, and roads and grounds).
