The position in detail…
The holder of this position is responsible for:
- Welcoming patients in a professional, courteous, and attentive manner;
- Respecting the ethical limits of intervention with patients and confidentiality;
- Collecting essential patient information and updating their files;
- Answering patient questions, phone calls, processing prescription renewals, entering new product or prescription data, and referring to the pharmacist as needed;
- Preparing prescriptions;
- Having prescriptions or other documents verified by the pharmacist;
- Forwarding claims requests to insurers and resolving claim issues;
- Coordinating prescription and sterile product delivery services;
- Managing biomedical waste securely;
- Preparing and packaging sterile products and organizing pill organizer preparation;
- Determining and approving the selling price of laboratory products;
- Regularly depositing money, ordering coins, and completing a cash report;
- Recording purchases on the electronic cash register and receiving payments in cash, credit, or debit, if applicable;
- Forecasting sufficient supplies for smooth operations;
- Ensuring the cleanliness and disinfection of the laboratory and its equipment. Maintaining a clean workspace;
- Managing medication and material supply for prescription preparation;
- Keeping the laboratory inventory up-to-date and ordering from suppliers;
- Checking the contents of deliveries upon arrival. Comparing with invoices and purchase orders;
- Placing products in appropriate locations and ensuring medication rotation according to expiration dates;
- Processing merchandise claims with different companies and sending back returns;
- Offering advice on specialized products (e.g., glucometers, tensiometers, orthopedic products, etc.);
- Following health and safety regulations at work;
- Performing all other related tasks.
Do you have the profile?
- Hold a diploma in professional studies in technical pharmacy assistance or be a university student in pharmacy;
- Have experience as a technical assistant in pharmacy;
- Be available according to the established schedule;
- Possess excellent communication skills;
- Demonstrate courtesy, integrity, and discretion;
- Have strong mathematical aptitude;
- Show a high degree of rigor, attention to detail, team spirit, and collaboration;
- Have a good sense of planning, organization, and managing priorities and stress;
- Possess good knowledge of prescription management and electronic cash register software.
