The Public Works, Engineering, and Environment Service is currently looking for a competent and available person to fill journeyman positions.

What you will do in your daily work

Under the supervision of the foreman, you will perform various tasks related to the maintenance of roads, water supply networks, and municipal infrastructure. Compliance with health and safety rules and the use of personal protective equipment is required.

• Perform various manual exterior maintenance tasks (roads, parks, buildings, sidewalks, etc.);
• Snow removal and de-icing of public utility equipment (manholes, valves, fountains, municipal accesses);
• Load, unload, and handle various materials;
• Participate in some team work (marking, landscaping, installation, and maintenance of structures);
• Maintain municipal vehicles and equipment.

You are the person we are looking for if...

• High school diploma (D.E.S.) or relevant experience (asset).
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license or in the process of obtaining one*;
• Health and safety training for construction sites (or willing to take it within a year of hiring);
• Experience in operating snow removal machinery (asset).

*L'hiring is conditional on obtaining a Class 3 driver's license within four (4) months of the hiring date.*
