Animal Health Technician

Falardeau Zoo and its new Management team are looking for a passionate and dedicated Animal Health Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience in wildlife care and will know how to work in a team to ensure the well-being of our feathered, furred, and scaled residents.

The selected person must have the following qualifications:

• Hold a College Diploma as an Animal Health Technician or equivalent approved by the *MELCCFP*
• 2 years of experience in animal health and handling with domestic, exotic, and wild animals
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure during emergencies
• Assist the veterinarian during monthly visits and emergencies
• Good knowledge of animal health care, observation, SSE, and data entry
• Ability to adapt to different field work conditions (outdoor)
• Knowledge and experience in Animal Training would be an asset
• Salary: $17.00 to $21.00 per hour
• Location: On-site
