Mandate

Person who contributes to the evaluation of physical function deficiencies and disabilities related to the neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiopulmonary systems. She determines a treatment plan and implements interventions to achieve optimal functional performance, provided she has a prior evaluation by a physiotherapist or a medical diagnosis not limited to symptoms, which may indicate the type of structure affected and is accompanied by a documented record of the condition. She may participate in clinical teaching.

Requirements

• Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in physiotherapy techniques from a recognized school by the competent ministry.
• Must be a member of the Professional Order of Physiotherapists of Quebec.
