Summary of Duties
Under the responsibility of the Chief of Administration for Youth Mental Health Programs, the person:
- Assesses children, adolescents, and families, including crisis evaluations (suicidal ideations, acting out);
- Conducts cognitive and affective evaluations, when necessary;
- Provides short-term individual and family therapeutic follow-ups - including cognitive-behavioral, brief psychodynamic, family, and systemic therapies;
- Conducts group therapies (for young adolescents or parent/family groups);
- Provides therapeutic follow-ups in parent-child dyads;
- Supervises first-line professionals without training in youth mental health as well as psychology interns;
- Participates and develops training programs within youth teams;
- Supports partners, such as the troubled youth team, school, and hospitals, in their interventions;
- Performs any other tasks related to the demands of their immediate supervisor.
