Assistant Store Manager

The Position

The *Assistant Store Manager* helps the store manager achieve sales goals, improve employee performance, and ensure the smooth operation of store activities. The *Assistant Store Manager* must lead by example and inspire the team to generate sales and provide exceptional customer service while embodying the company's image and culture.

When the store manager is absent, the *Assistant Store Manager* supervises all store activities.

Responsibilities

• Help implement strategies to achieve store sales and cost control goals.
• Supervise all store activities, including opening and closing procedures, store cleanliness, restocking and merchandising, customer service, and team supervision.
• Provide excellent customer service and lead the team accordingly.
• Comply with all headquarters requests regarding store activities.
• Process purchases at the cash register.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Help the store manager ensure that standards and norms are met, in accordance with company policies.
• Perform all other related tasks as directed by the store manager.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a leadership role in retail sales
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to delegate tasks and take responsibility
• Ability to lead a team in a positive and inclusive manner

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work standing for long periods and climb a ladder
• Move, lift, and manipulate store merchandise boxes and fixtures (weights up to 30 lbs).

Availability Requirements

• Days, evenings, and weekends.
