The Position

The *Assistant Store Manager* assists the store manager in achieving sales targets, improving employee performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of store activities. The *Assistant Store Manager* must lead by example and inspire the team to generate sales and provide exceptional customer service while embodying the company's image and culture.

In the absence of the store manager, the *Assistant Store Manager* supervises all store activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing strategies to achieve store sales and cost control objectives.
• Supervise all store activities, including opening and closing procedures, store cleanliness, restocking and merchandising, customer service, and team supervision.
• Provide excellent customer service and lead the team accordingly.
• Comply with all headquarters requests regarding store activities.
• Handle cashier purchases.
• Adhere to all company policies.
• Assist the store manager in ensuring that standards and norms are met, in accordance with company policies.
• Perform all other related tasks as directed by the store manager.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a leadership role in retail sales
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to delegate tasks and take responsibility
• Ability to lead a team in a positive and inclusive manner

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work standing for long periods and climb a ladder
• Move, lift, and manipulate merchandise boxes and fixtures in the store (weights up to 30 lbs).

Availability Requirements

• Days, evenings, and weekends.
