What Does the Job Entail?
You will provide commercial and financial advice and manage a portfolio of high-profitability small business owners who need help starting, managing, and growing their businesses. You will be an RBC ambassador to the local business market. Through an externally focused marketing approach and customer acquisition, you will acquire new business for RBC and strengthen relationships with its clients. In partnership with other advisors and specialists at RBC, you will contribute to creating an experience that clients will value.
What Will Your Tasks Be?
- Acquire new clients while developing and consolidating existing relationships through the provision of value-added financial advice tailored to customer needs.
- Gather information through exploratory approaches and proactively contact clients to understand their needs and the evolution of their situation, ensuring they are satisfied with their overall relationship with RBC.
- Plan and prioritize customer and market-focused activities, identify business opportunities, and present clients to RBC partners to propose financial solutions tailored to their personal and business financial needs, in line with the Together at RBC principle, the key to success.
- Manage risks and exercise diligent oversight in all Bank procedures and develop action plans to address concerns or risks identified.
- Promote the optimization of digital technologies by encouraging clients to use RBC's mobile and online applications, allowing them to interact with the Bank in the way they prefer.
- Be where the client is; if possible, conduct on-site visits to better understand the activities and business objectives of clients.
- What Do You Need to Succeed?
Requirements
- Skills in prospecting, business expansion, and customer acquisition, including the establishment and leveraging of a network of influential people within the local business community.
- Reputation for excellence in relationship management.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, and a good sense of organization.
- Bilingualism (French and English).
Assets
- Credit skills and knowledge: understanding of risk evaluations and financial analyses, structured credit solutions, and presentation methods.
- Success in the Associate Account Directors training program, or experience as a small business owner (or in a related field).
- Good knowledge of a wide range of financial products and services for businesses and individuals.
