What will you contribute to the team?
- Establish a Capture and Proposal Management team to support a growth opportunity in Bombardier Defense within the defense sector.
- You are responsible for setting up the organization and managing all aspects of the business activities, from conception to implementation.
- Ensure that the proposal, strategy, and program planning team members use best practices and follow all processes.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external stakeholders such as programs, engineering, contracts, finance, supply chain, operations, and subcontractors during the development phase to establish the program strategy and develop the proposal.
- Implement effective governance to ensure milestones are met according to the committed schedule and budget, including executive reviews.
- Develop a balanced set of performance indicators focused on both the client and the company and guide the team in achieving these goals.
How will you thrive in this role?
- You hold a degree in engineering (or a related field), sciences, business, or another field, with significant experience in aerospace.
- You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in aerospace.
- You have 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial development, acquisition, or program management. You are capable of providing strategic guidance on a variety of topics.
- You have a solid understanding of industry trends and competitor activity.
- You are a leader with a proactive spirit, capable of mobilizing and engaging both your direct team and support teams.
- You have excellent communication skills and are capable of synthesizing information for briefings and recommendations at the executive level.
- You are capable of developing and guiding people in producing complete and convincing documents for audiences of engineers, operators, and executives.
- You are capable of managing your time and prioritizing tasks effectively while meeting tight deadlines.
- Practical knowledge of Bombardier's policies and processes is an asset.
- You have practical knowledge of the Canadian Goods and Services Regulations (CGSR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and you are authorized to consult and manipulate them.
- The ability to hold a NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
- You have prior experience with government procurement procedures.
- You may be required to travel domestically and internationally and work extended hours if necessary.
