Role Objectives

Ensure the management of procurement (consumables, small tools, and equipment) and maintain inventories to meet project and work needs.

Coordinate, as needed, the preparation and delivery of materials for the head office and project teams, in coordination with internal transport and/or suppliers.

Responsibilities

Under the responsibility of the Director of Equipment and Procurement, the incumbent will assume the following responsibilities: Main Responsibilities

Procurement / Purchasing

  • Perform purchases and prepare purchase orders for consumables
  • Purchase and prepare purchase orders for small tools
  • Purchase and prepare purchase orders for mechanical repair parts, as per work orders/operational needs
  • Inventories / Stock Control
  • Keep inventories up to date (consumables, small tools, etc.)
  • Perform inventory tracking and counts (e.g., counts, quantity validation, required adjustments)
  • Coordination of Requests and Deliveries (Head Office and Projects)
  • Receive, validate, and prioritize material/consumable/tool requests from the head office and project teams (urgency, criticality, availability)
  • Coordinate the preparation of internal orders (collection, grouping, identification/tagging) to ensure deliveries meet needs
  • Plan and organize deliveries according to operational needs: mode of transport (internal transport, supplier delivery, pick-up), sequencing, and grouping by project/site
  • Ensure delivery tracking: shipping confirmation, receipt confirmation, management of discrepancies (missing items, errors, damage), and corrective actions
  • Maintain delivery and movement traceability (delivery note, proof of receipt, returns/exchanges, critical items)
  • Act as a point of contact between the head office, project teams, internal transport, and suppliers to facilitate communication (needs, changes, deadlines)
  • Contribute to operational continuity by anticipating recurring needs (proactive replenishment of consumables/tools on rotation)
  • Internal Transport Coordination (if required at the site)
  • Participate in the management of the internal transport team to meet project and work needs

  • High school diploma (DES)
  • Any equivalent training
  • Work Experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a field related to the position
  • Relevant Work Experience (Assets) and Connected

  • Experience in logistics coordination/deliveries (head office, sites, projects) (asset)

  • Valid driver's license — Class 5 (asset if Class 3)

  • Ability to manage multiple files, be organized, perform tracking, and inventory counts
  • Physical capacity to perform manual handling, including lifting/moving loads over 20 kg and repetitive movements (with or without reasonable accommodation, as applicable)
