The person at Desjardins Entreprises in Montreal is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, developing, and maintaining business relationships with a strategic and very large clientele operating within the commercial market, in order to promote and sell the products and services offered with the objective of growing the business of the Desjardins Entreprises center. Relying on their strong technical skills and high political sense, they represent, negotiate, and engage the company in strategic agreements that have major impacts on the Desjardins Entreprises center. They ensure the consistency and balance between sales objectives, sound and prudent risk management, portfolio profitability, and member and client and partner satisfaction. They also assume a leadership and influence role with various stakeholders and, if necessary, act as an expert support to the unit members. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Solicit, develop, and maintain a personalized business relationship with current or potential clients in order to promote and sell the products and services offered by Desjardins.
- Act as an account manager, being the privileged link between the Desjardins Entreprises center and the members and clients. Ensure the proper use, updating, and satisfaction with the offered products and services. Analyze sources of dissatisfaction and recommend solution paths.
- Identify and analyze the needs of members and clients, develop an adapted solution, and prepare an integrated service offer. Negotiate the applicable conditions with members and clients.
- Recommend strategies or solutions aimed at achieving the objectives set by the Desjardins Entreprises center, such as increasing business volume, sound risk management, portfolio profitability, and improving business relationships.
- Conduct a watch to identify business development opportunities to support the competitiveness of the offered products and services.
- Carry out various promotional activities in connection with the activities of the Desjardins Entreprises center. Participate in targeted public relations activities and ensure a presence in the business environment.
- Be attentive to the needs of members and clients to ensure their complete satisfaction, seize business opportunities, and, if necessary, refer them to the people capable of meeting their expectations.
- Comply with the policies, practices, and standards in force as well as the various laws governing the distribution of financial products and services.
- Ensure sound and prudent risk management for the entire portfolio under their responsibility.

What you will bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
- French language proficiency required
- Knowledge of market analysis and the external environment of the Desjardins Entreprises center
- Knowledge of financial analysis
- Knowledge of the characteristics and credit risks specific to the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors of the large market
- Knowledge of loan and guarantee contracts
- Knowledge of the entire range of products and services for businesses and those offered by Desjardins' branches, components, and distribution networks, as well as those of the competition
- Knowledge of financing and credit management norms and practices for businesses
- Knowledge of the policies, legislation, and standards related to the products and services offered by the Desjardins Entreprises center
- Knowledge of credit granting, monitoring, collection, and restructuring practices for businesses
- Knowledge of referral processes
- Knowledge of government programs to support businesses
- Knowledge of networking
- Sales knowledge
- Knowledge of the values, rules, and way of functioning of a cooperative and a cooperative network
