General Responsibilities of the CoSS

  • The CoSS is responsible for the application of laws, rules and frameworks in the field of occupational health and safety.
  • He plays an advisory role by assisting and participating in the prevention activities of the project management team and acting as an expert in health and safety. He also plays a role in the development of the various actors of the project, including external suppliers.
  • He is responsible for the various activities that will be entrusted to him in connection with the daily activities of the safety teams on site.
  • Resources will be called upon to carry out assignments on construction sites of power plants, substations and lines.

Qualifications

  • Must hold the Health and Safety Coordinator card issued by the CNESST.
  • A good knowledge of critical dangers is expected (for example: work at height, energy source, moving vehicle, lifting operations, etc.). Training in connection with the particularities of Hydro Electric are also an asset.
  • Must possess technological skills and abilities to grasp daily information and master the tools of the Office 365 suite (Teams, Outlook).
  • The candidate must also grasp his prevention activities in the Enablon software.
