Industrial Designer

Draftsman – Electrical / Mechanical Engineering – Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures (100% on-site) A rapidly growing company in the renewable energy and electricity production sector, our client is a world-class supplier of equipment for hydroelectric, wind, solar, nuclear, and thermal power plants.

Requirements

• DEC in industrial design, DEC in mechanical, electromechanical engineering, or equivalent
• 1+ years as a Draftsman (much of this position is 2D)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (CREO, an asset)
• Your Role:

Under the supervision of the Operations Director, you participate in the design and layout of mechanical and electrical components and assemblies. You work closely with engineers and designers to develop solutions tailored to projects, while adhering to internal and industrial standards. You create 2D and 3D models and also support production as needed.

Main Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D models for manufacturing (majority of this position is 2D)
• Create mechanical and electrical detail drawings (parts, assemblies, updates)
• Design fixtures and molds (machining, welding, bending, etc.)
• Make corrections and modifications according to technical specifications
• Ensure compliance with internal and industrial standards
• Collaborate with engineers and provide technical recommendations
• Support production in project implementation
