What you will accomplish with us
As a Deputy Director, IT Solutions Delivery - Data Management, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
- Manage and mobilize resources (employees and contractors), including recruitment, development, performance evaluation, and retention, as well as plan, organize, and optimize the workload of the unit, ensuring effective resource allocation and adherence to business priorities.
- Be accountable for the delivery of IT solutions and service delivery, including operational performance, deliverable quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Define and implement strategies, action plans, and activities necessary to achieve the unit's objectives, as well as data management guidelines.
- Manage tactical and operational IT services, including escalation management, coordination with IT partners and business sectors, act as the first-line IT responder for served sectors, and represent the management in various forums.
- Contribute to budget management, cost control, schedule adherence, and scope management, and assume a role as an IT asset steward, ensuring the health, evolution, and performance of systems, applications, and platforms under your responsibility.

- We are looking for a person who:
- Is recognized for their mobilizing leadership and ability to develop, motivate, and support high-performing teams, while effectively managing change and conflicts.
- Stands out for their mastery of data management, business intelligence, analytics, or digital transformation solutions, as well as their knowledge of the software development lifecycle and DevOps, Agile, and Lean approaches.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to analyze complex situations, define strategies, and implement effective solutions in collaboration with partners and vendors.
- Is recognized for their excellent communication, explanation, and influence skills with various IT and business stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Possesses at least eight years of relevant experience in information management and technologies, as well as a university degree in computer science, business administration, actuarial science, analytics, or a related discipline. Knowledge of the financial services and insurance sector is an asset.
- Intermediate level of French and English, both spoken and written, as the person will be required to communicate daily with internal and external partners and vendors, including unilingual English-speaking partners and vendors, in the context of their responsibilities related to data management, IT solution delivery, and service coordination.
