What will you contribute to the team?

  • Develop new procurement sources and build strategic business relationships.
  • Develop negotiation strategies.
  • Lead and participate in the development of procurement by directing projects that require the preparation of business plans.
  • Lead, develop, and execute procurement strategies and provide the high management with project and negotiation reports.
  • Identify, analyze, and materialize cost reduction opportunities.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain continuous dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the single point of contact with suppliers for new business opportunities.
  • Provide support to sites and business units regarding global procurement strategies.
  • Coordinate and lead the negotiation of contractual claims with suppliers to support business units' production issues.
  • Support business units in the application of contractual clauses.
  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers.
  • Ensure that contracts are maintained in accordance with our business requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement agents' activities in connection with the balanced scorecard, master plans, and detailed plans.
  • Support procurement agents in the negotiation of contracts, commercial requests, product changes, and contract amendments.
  • Participate in cost reduction project governance and adequately maintain the performance indicators of these projects.
  • Actively participate in program reviews with clients/suppliers led by business units.
  • Develop and coach team members on various procurement initiatives and procedures.
  • Support the Manager in the performance management process.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • You have eight (8) to twelve (12) years of relevant professional experience.
  • You have experience in the aerospace and/or manufacturing industry and/or program management in a commercial role, an asset.
  • You are recognized for your strong negotiation and project management skills.
  • You are detail-oriented, focused, and committed to meeting deadlines.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication skills and are proficient in both French and English, both orally and in writing. Teamwork, innovation, and leadership make you an effective person.
  • You have good knowledge of operational and financial management, as well as contract terminology and interpretation.
  • You are familiar with the concepts of just-in-time procurement, integrated supply chain, and "lean manufacturing".
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook applications.
