We have an opportunity for a Sales Representative – South Shore of Montreal
Relevant to the sales director, the sales representative develops and maintains long-term relationships with established clients in the South Shore of Montreal. The representative continuously expands the customer base by establishing sales-advice relationships with contractors, distributors, engineering consulting firms, and municipalities.
The territory includes: South Shore of Montreal and surrounding areas (Montérégie, Centre-du-Québec, Estrie).
Functions and Responsibilities
- Conduct sales-advice meetings in person with all company accounts, including existing and potential clients related to the industry (contractors, distributors, engineering consulting firms, and municipalities).
- Ensure all communication with existing and new clients is recorded in the customer relationship management system (CRM).
- Develop and secure new clients through networking and interactions within the established territory. Make prospecting and courtesy calls and present to potential clients.
- Assist in the annual preparation and finalization of the sales budget in the territory.
- Participate in agriculture, hardware, and infrastructure activities, including open houses, golf tournaments, conferences, and training courses.
- Continuously analyze and evaluate sales expansion opportunities in the territory (new customer accounts).
- Provide technical support on-site to contractors.
- Offer support in design to engineering consulting firms.
- Communicate with clients after the sale to ensure continuous follow-up and support.
- Provide market information for the development of new products.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in agriculture, construction trades, infrastructure, communication, business administration, engineering, or related field, obtained from a college or university.
- 3 years or more of experience in sales and/or marketing; ideally in the manufacturing of agricultural products, construction trades, and/or infrastructure, or in a technically related field.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM).
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization and build relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and time and priority management, to plan and organize the workload daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.
- Familiarity with the customer relationship management system (CRM).
