- What will your role involve?
Within Siemens’ Smart Infrastructure division, the Security Systems Installer will have the following responsibilities:
- Install, program, commission, and verify security systems (such as video access control, perimeter security, etc.) and the IT networks supporting these technologies;
- Provide customer service and technical support for security systems, including participating in an on-call rotation and traveling to client sites as needed.
What will you need to succeed?
- DEP (vocational diploma) in security systems, electricity, or equivalent;
- Valid CCQ journeyperson competency card in security systems installation;
- Valid electrician competency card AND experience with video surveillance, intrusion systems, and/or access control;
- ASP Construction health and safety certification (or commitment to complete the 30-hour course on personal time);
- Experience in programming and commissioning security products;
- Experience with IT networks related to security systems;
- Knowledge of the MS Office suite;
- Resourcefulness, autonomy, and team spirit;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Fluency in French language is required
- English is not required but considered an asset;
- + Accessing reference materials, documentation or software that is available only in English;
+ Other business-related situations where English may be beneficial but is not required to perform the essential duties of the role.
- Valid driver’s license;
- Availability to work flexible hours and overtime (evenings/weekends) as needed.
Assets
- Experience with Genetec and/or Software House C-CURE video surveillance systems and software;
- Experience in fire alarm systems.
