The Operations Division: Rigor Serving Clients

Do you want to leverage your expertise within an asset management firm with strong business processes? Addenda Capital invites you to join the Operations division and contribute to its growth.

We are looking for an analyst to join the investment data management team. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to meet the company's data requirements. Reporting to the Principal Director, Data and Performance Management, your combined knowledge and experience, along with strong analytical and technical skills, will enable you to provide practical solutions while ensuring the accuracy of information transmission.

As an analyst within the investment data management service, you will contribute to providing accurate, timely, and complete market data for all central systems and business processes. This position supports investment operations, portfolio management, compliance, and ultimately, clients. In a dynamic environment where time is a critical factor, you will manage multiple priorities as needs evolve, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail while always keeping data quality in mind. You will work closely with internal partners and external vendors, relying on clear communication and interfunctional coordination to manage data, strengthen operational controls, and provide high-quality data services to achieve better business results. The work schedule for this role is generally from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, to ensure full vigilance of the transaction and end-of-day pricing update processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily data flows, investigate, and process alerts;
  • Perform reconciliations and validations on data sets on a daily basis;
  • Ensure the production of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal partners and clients, as well as respond to ad-hoc information requests;
  • Participate in data quality-related projects;
  • Document operational procedures, data flows, data definitions, and controls to improve consistency, transparency, and knowledge sharing;
  • Collaborate with data providers and external systems;
  • Establish strong working relationships between investment, compliance, performance, finance, and technology teams to ensure data-related operational efficiency.

Your Profile

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in investment operations, middle-office, back-office, or financial systems support;
  • Knowledge of investment data concepts;
  • Good technical knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), data warehousing or reference data management concepts, and the ability to write queries on structured databases (SQL);
  • Practical experience using investment management systems (Eagle) and good knowledge of financial data providers (Bloomberg) are assets;
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and reporting tools (Microsoft Power BI, SSRS).
