BIM Specialist

Context: The BIM Specialist is responsible for creating, developing, maintaining, and guiding BIM objects, templates, and library content to support infrastructure, railway, and transport projects. They ensure that BIM content is structured, traceable, compliant, and aligned with project requirements, modeling standards, and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), while supporting multidisciplinary teams in the effective use of object libraries, templates, and digital production flows. Missions/Responsibilities: * Create, develop, and maintain BIM objects, templates, and library content in accordance with the BIM leadership team's guidelines, discipline design teams, and project-specific BIM requirements. * Ensure the traceability, documentation, and proper management of metadata for all BIM content in the designated information management systems for the project. * Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams to identify content needs, ensure timely availability, and support consistent modeling practices. * Incorporate lessons learned and best practices to continuously improve and update the BIM object library throughout the project lifecycle. * Support the automation of object creation, classification, and data management using scripts, extension modules, specialized BIM tools, or tool configuration. * Assist discipline teams in the integration, structuring, and proper use of BIM objects in their models. * Contribute to maintaining alignment between object libraries, modeling standards, and project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) requirements. * Contribute to the support of BIM tool deployment, user training, and workflow guidance. Profile/Competences:

Education: University or college degree in engineering, architecture, construction, BIM, or a related field.

Years of

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in BIM content development, BIM library management, or support for digital design within infrastructure, railway, transport, or multidisciplinary projects.

Technical

Skills: * Proficiency in major BIM creation platforms, including parametric object creation, family editing, attributes, and classification systems, such as Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Bentley tools, and Autodesk Forma. * Good understanding of BIM standards such as ISO 19650, BuildingSMART classifications, and project-specific modeling requirements. * Demonstrated ability to create high-quality parametric objects aligned with project needs, discipline guidelines, and data requirements. * Experience in managing BIM libraries, structured repositories, and metadata-rich BIM and CADD content within large-scale infrastructure or multidisciplinary projects. * Understanding of coordination processes, model exchange flows, and data compliance. * Familiarity with 3D coordination environments. * Experience with scripting or automation tools is an asset. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English*.
