The GSI Electronics team in St-Hubert specializes in designing and manufacturing intelligent controllers for various functionalities, enabling automated farm management. With cutting-edge cloud platforms, mobile applications, and embedded systems, we are proud to be a preferred partner for agricultural companies.

The intern will develop and maintain applications on agricultural controllers that communicate with electronic cards. The candidate will work in an agile environment where requirements are created as the project progresses for each sprint. The intern will be responsible for designing and coding the tasks assigned to them. They must constantly communicate with the architect and development manager about progress and challenges encountered. The intern must document their design in the Atlassian Confluence tool (wiki format). In addition to project implementation, the intern may be called upon to write unit tests. The intern must perform the following tasks for each development sprint: Your Tasks:

• Analyze development requirements and propose suitable solutions
• Prepare time estimates for project completion
• Modify and maintain existing product software
• Perform unit tests to validate code quality
• Test code on the actual controller to ensure performance and reliability
• Your Qualifications:
• Completed at least 3 years of university studies in electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field
• Your Skills:
• Good knowledge of Docker and containerization environments
• Experience with virtual machines
• Familiarity with embedded operating systems (EmbOS)
• Proficiency in C++ (ideally C++17)
• Experience with C/C++ unit testing frameworks (Google Test)
• Proficiency in code management and collaboration tools (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
• Knowledge of VSCode is an asset
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex-M processors and associated tools (J-Link) is an asset
• Knowledge of front-end development (Angular 14/16/18, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, CSS, Jest, RxJS) is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics is an asset
• Skill in using measurement instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter) is an asset
