VIF Group is looking for a Dyer / Raw Materials Manager to join its team in Saint-Hyacinthe.
Our plant manufactures a wide variety of plastic products, primarily for the in-ground pool and automotive sectors. Thanks to our injection, blowing, and thermoforming processes, you will work in a modern, stimulating, and constantly evolving environment.

Your Role
As a Dyer / Raw Materials Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and supply of raw materials used in production. You will also manage inventories, material and color changes, and maintain equipment related to resin handling.
Your contribution is essential to product quality and operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
Raw Materials Management
- Prepare dyeing recipes according to production standards.
- Perform resin, pigment, additive, and recycled material mixes.
- Supply machines with resin and other raw materials.
- Perform color and raw material changes according to production schedules.
- Ensure the availability of required materials for different departments.
Production Support
- Feed injection presses, blowing equipment, and thermoformers.
- Perform production changes according to established schedules.
- Verify the compliance of mixes and materials used.
- Collaborate with assemblers, operators, and supervisors to ensure effective production starts.
Inventory Management
- Perform computer transactions for the receipt and consumption of raw materials.
- Use computer systems and barcode scanners.
- Conduct cyclic and annual inventories.
- Ensure the accuracy of resin, pigment, and additive inventories.
- Identify and correct inventory discrepancies when required.
Forklift Operation
- Operate a forklift safely.
- Transport raw materials to different production sectors.
- Perform storage and shelving of materials according to established procedures.
- Supply work areas according to operational needs.
Maintenance and Organization
- Clean mixers, conveyors, dryers, and material handling equipment.
- Maintain storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform basic maintenance of equipment under your responsibility.
- Apply procedures for preventing material and color contamination.
Desired Profile
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic industry.
- Experience in raw material preparation or management (an asset).
- Experience with forklift operation.
- Good knowledge of inventory and computer transactions.
- Ability to work autonomously and organized.
- Attention to detail and quality.
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Workplace Health and Safety
- The incumbent must:
- Respect SST procedures and company policies.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform daily forklift inspections before use.
- Report any hazardous situations or anomalies.
- Handle raw materials according to established safe procedures.
