COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR RIDEAU 2027 EVENT
Contract position from September 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027
Asset: Eligibility for the Employment Quebec salary subsidy RIDEAU – the Professional Association of Theatre Show Distributors – works on the development and recognition of the distribution of stage arts as well as the promotion of the needs, rights and interests of its members. Its mission is embodied in initiatives that promote the professionalization of distributors, the realization of its annual event in Quebec City and the development of varied resources ranging from information to the mutualization of services.
The Association is currently looking for an organized, rigorous and creative person who wishes to join a stable, dynamic and devoted team.
With the support and guidance of the Director of Communications – Research and Public Affairs, the person in charge of communications will have the main mandate of coordinating the implementation of the communications for the RIDEAU 2027 event, before, during and after the event which will take place in Quebec City from February 14 to 18, 2027.
Coordination of Digital Content
Update the contents of the RIDEAU event website, associated microsites for the Forum and Free Admissions program, as well as the mobile application.
Write, integrate and ensure the update of the contents distributed.
Coordination of Social Media
Coordinate the deployment of the RIDEAU event social media plan.
Ensure the writing and scheduling of content according to the editorial calendar.
Coordinate the production of visuals and content with internal resources and suppliers.
Ensure the animation of social media before, during and after the event.
Coordination of Public and Private Partner Visibility
Coordinate the implementation of visibility agreements concluded with partners.
Collect information, logos and content necessary for the realization of communication tools.
Ensure the compliance of partner visibility in the various tools and spaces of the event.
Produce a customized visibility report for each partner.
Coordination of Photographers
Ensure the follow-up of the event's photographic coverage plan.
Coordinate schedules, access, needs and instructions for photographers.
Ensure the reception, organization and transmission of photographic content for RIDEAU communications.
Implementation and Coordination of Communication Tools
Participate in the coordination of press releases.
Ensure the management of advertisements, placements and media buys, including advertising credits when required.
Write, integrate and coordinate newsletters.
Ensure the writing and coordination of the event program.
Coordinate the production of various communication tools (display, videos, PowerPoint presentations and other visual supports).
Perform follow-ups with graphic designers, suppliers and external collaborators.
Event Support
Participate in weekly team meetings.
Coordinate the writing of the event report and the eco-responsible report.
Perform any other task necessary for the realization of the event.
Required Qualifications
Hold a DEC in communications, marketing, public relations or in a relevant field.
Possess at least two (2) years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the cultural field and in an event context.
Excellent mastery of written French and strong skills in writing and editing.
Mastery of digital tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Airtable, content management systems and social media platforms.
Knowledge of the live arts field and eligibility for the Employment Quebec salary subsidy are assets.
Working Conditions
Full-time contract of 35 hours per week for a duration of 35 weeks.
Salary between $25/h and $27/h, depending on experience.
Two weeks of paid vacation during the Holiday period.
One day of remote work per week (Friday).
Contract from September 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027.
Presence required in Quebec City from February 12 to 19, 2027 in the context of the event. The rest of the mandate is carried out in Montreal, at 1550, Boulevard Saint-Joseph East.
