Reporting to the Vice President of IT, the Software Development Director is responsible for the strategy, architecture, development, and delivery of software solutions supporting Annexair's operations. They act as a leader by developing applications, integrations, and platforms that optimize the entire value chain of the company.

This role ensures the management of software development teams, functional analysis, architecture, and quality, while collaborating closely with manufacturing, engineering, operations, sales, and service teams to develop innovative, high-value business solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with governance, privacy, and data protection standards.
  • Conduct application architecture and security reviews.
  • Evaluate and select technology partners.
  • Manage external development contracts.
  • Supervise consultants and contract resources.
  • Ensure the quality and compliance of external deliverables.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree (asset).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, including at least 5 years in technical staff management.
  • Significant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in the digitalization of manufacturing enterprises and application modernization.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET/C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, microservices, and web and cloud application development.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Git, and containerization technologies.
  • Experience with business applications, including Dynamics 365 Business Central, PLM solutions, CRM, and the Power Platform.
  • Good knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD practices, and enterprise architecture principles.
