Your Mission
The incumbent ensures the daily operation of the entire technological infrastructure (servers, telecommunications, etc.). They perform various tasks, including managing different environments by following IT processes and ITIL practices, working closely with the Chief, Information Technology Infrastructure.
- Manage the evolution of servers and other infrastructure components based on obsolescence and needs;
- Ensure the performance, availability, and security of environments according to established policies and maintain monitoring tools;
- Install and configure equipment necessary for network management, such as switches and firewalls, routers;
- Analyze, test, and ensure the update of patches required for the proper functioning of different systems;
- Validate project plans and technical proposals to ensure all technological and structural aspects are considered;
- Ensure all systems have a data backup process that complies with established policies;
- Proactively monitor incidents using dedicated customer support and system monitoring tools;
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems affecting telecommunications, networks, systems, and other infrastructure components;
- Collaborate closely with equipment and software manufacturers in resolving complex issues;
- Provide support to the user support team in resolving more complex problems;
- Apply and manage the required security levels for data access;
- Serve as an infrastructure IT advisor in relation to servers, networks, security, and other related areas;
- Participate in the implementation of the required IT environment and ensure its updates;
- Participate in the design and documentation of the architecture of chosen solutions, as well as appropriate technical diagrams when required;
- Replace IT technicians and user support when necessary;
- Perform any other tasks as requested by your immediate supervisor;
- Act as an ambassador for the SST culture by adopting safe work habits and ensuring the application of SST rules and standards.
Your Profile
- Hold a DEC in Computer Science or a relevant AEC;
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology, primarily in server and network equipment administration (routers, switches, concentrators);
- Have an analytical approach to solving complex problems;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively;
- Be self-motivated;
- Have good English language skills (functional);
- Be proficient in the following environments and technologies:
- Windows Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and SCCM;
- Virtualization solutions VMware and backup tool Veeam;
- Cloud platforms Microsoft Azure and O365;
- Networking: LAN, WAN, WiFi, TCP/IP, VLAN, DMZ, NAT, Firewall, VPN, and IPSec and SSL;
- Equipment: SAN IBM, Fortinet, Aruba HPE, Extreme Networks, Avaya;
- Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Working Conditions
- Schedule: Alternating between 33h and 41h per week for an average of 37h
- Salary: 50.56$ / hr to 56.97$ / hr*
