Surveying Supervisor - Civil Engineering

As a Surveying Supervisor within Pomerleau's Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team, you will work closely with all workers to ensure the coordination of work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will have the opportunity to actively participate in the implementation and technical controls to ensure the work complies with the project requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the project surveying plan (sequences, methods, tolerances, resources);
• Support superintendents, foremen, and project managers to ensure alignment between surveying and execution;
• Supervise the implementation of wind turbine foundations, access roads, crane platforms, underground collector, and electrical station installations;
• Set up and maintain the geodetic network (GNSS, robotic station, leveling), and manage files/updates;
• Perform or validate daily surveys, produce georeferenced as-builts, and submit them according to client/engineering requirements;
• Lead the surveying/technician team, ensure training and mobilization;
• Work as a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting work environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on the job site;
• Perform all other tasks related to operations.
• This position is for you if you have
• A DEP, AEC, or Certificate in surveying or civil engineering
• 3 to 4 years of experience in civil construction projects
• ASP Construction & SIMDUT 2015 certification
• Valid driver's license – Class 5
• Proficiency in surveying tools (robotic total station, GPS)
