Project Manager

Job Description Summary

For associated customer equipment, interior design, or infrastructure projects: responsible for project development, result accountability, and customer satisfaction through the management of project-related activities and resources. Responsible for the planning/execution of department operations or focuses on the execution of professional tasks within a technical discipline. Has a certain degree of autonomy but is guided by established guidelines or the review of final results.

The position allows for the modification of work processes and practices, provided that the final results meet the standards of acceptance (quality, scope, timeliness, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Non-turnkey projects or projects for products/devices only. Responsible for overseeing the project and the direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small and medium-sized projects (size in relation to the GE company), which may only include devices, product suites, or non-turnkey projects.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to implement guidelines/strategies.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how the own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that distinguish the company in the market.
• Uses a certain degree of judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside the established parameters to address complex manufacturing processes with technical diversity and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses several internal and limited external sources outside of one's own teams to make decisions.
• Serves as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Can lead small projects with low risk and resource requirements. Explains information; development of skills to move team members to a consensus on topics within the field. Communicates performance expectations and can handle confidential topics.

Basic Qualifications

• This role requires advanced experience. The level of knowledge is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
