What You Will Do

  • Evaluate and analyze the information gathered, policy wording, and damages to determine what is covered in each situation.
  • Assess the potential liability of the insured and third parties by consulting experts.
  • Negotiate with clients, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims, within the limits of your authority.
  • Manage on-site tasks on behalf of internal claims experts.
  • Actively participate in the management of claims and work when the volume is high.
  • Collaborate effectively with different teams, including evaluation, underwriting, and legal services.
  • Ensure efficient cost management.
  • Monitor current trends in insurance products and evaluation and investigation techniques and services.

What You Will Bring

  • Hold a valid AMF license. (5A)
  • Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Claims Expert Route, with a particular expertise in water or fire-related claims, as well as commercial.
  • Demonstrate a passion for customer service and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of working in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Strong technological aptitude with excellent computer skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Be able to travel on short notice.
  • Be familiar with insurance products.
  • Bilingual (French/English) – Necessary to handle claims from an anglophone clientele on a regular basis.
