The Opportunity

The Technical Content Marketing team is looking for a Senior Technical Artist to create the demonstrations, samples, and pipeline showcases that prove what Unity makes possible in the industrial sector. Where our content marketing specialists tell the story, you build the proof — the functional projects, assets, and pipeline flows from which everything else is created.

The ideal candidate has more than 10 years of experience, has developed commercial projects in Unity, and thinks in terms of production pipelines as much as in scenes. You will create high-fidelity assets and interactive demo projects that showcase the Unity ecosystem — from Unity Studio and cloud workflows to the Unity Editor — with outputs for the web, mobile, desktop, and XR. You are enthusiastic about using AI tools to quickly move from idea to a working demo, and you work autonomously while mobilizing the right people.

We serve vertical industries such as robotics, the public sector, manufacturing, automotive/transportation, healthcare, retail, and AEC. Therefore, this role requires someone who can easily navigate between visual quality, technical deep dives, and real-world industrial workflows. You will work within the Technical Content Marketing team and in close collaboration with the Product Marketing, Product Management, and R&D teams to bring the right visualization, simulation, and interactive experiences to life.

What You Will Do

  • Create high-fidelity, optimized assets, as well as demo and sample projects in Unity, covering the main industrial use cases — robotics, prototyping, digital twins, training, product configurators, and HMI/embedded systems — which will serve as source material for videos, tutorials, and articles.
  • Create demo flows that connect Unity Studio, Cloud, Asset Manager, and the Editor, with outputs ready for the web, mobile, desktop, and XR, focusing on polygon budgets, decimation, levels of detail (LOD), texture and memory budgets, and visual quality compromises.
  • Write C# code (structured or "vibe coding") for tooling, automation, and interaction logic, and show a real interest in using AI coding and design assistants to accelerate prototyping and iteration.
  • Manage end-to-end video production — including planning, recording, editing, voice-over, and final delivery — for technical content channels.
  • Collaborate with content marketing specialists and R&D engineers to ensure that the technical substance behind each piece of content is solid, credible, and easy to follow for others.

What We Are Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability to create high-fidelity real-time assets — modeling, texturing, materials, and custom shaders — that meet a demanding visual standard for robots, industrial equipment, and complex environments, using tools such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max, combined with mechanical CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Inventor.
  • Extensive practical experience with Unity, C# skills, and a real interest in AI-assisted creation — you actively use AI tools for prototyping, building, automating, and accelerating production, and you are eager to push the boundaries of these workflows.
  • Deep understanding of real-time optimization for mobile, web, and XR, including polygon budgets, levels of detail (LOD), materials, texture and memory budgets, and performance compromises.
  • Experience in end-to-end technical video production — planning, recording, editing, and delivery — with the ability to clearly explain complex workflows to a technical audience composed of developers, artists, designers, and producers.
  • Strong mastery of pipeline or node-based system automation — scripting, reproducible build workflows, and tool interconnection within the Unity ecosystem.
  • A senior-level operator who functions with minimal supervision — you define your own work scope, exercise initiative, and are autonomous. You do not wait for a mandate to be handed to you; you discuss with the people who hold the answers, determine what is worth building, and see the project through. You are comfortable with version control, a clean repository structure, branches, and pull requests, and you share sample projects internally or publicly. You thrive at the intersection of design, engineering, and emerging technologies.

You May Also Possess

  • Knowledge of Unity Asset Manager or similar cloud-based asset management and asset integration tools, combined with an interest or experience in creating pipelines that cross engine boundaries — such as optimizing and preparing 3D data for use in Unreal Engine, Blender, or web runtime environments.
  • Experience with AI/ML inference — for example, running ONNX models, using the Unity inference engine, ML-Agents, or simulation frameworks, or interactive training use cases.
  • Experience in packaging and publishing sample projects, for example, to public GitHub repositories, or uploading content to the Unity Asset Store.
  • Experience in various relevant use cases and verticals — such as prototyping, digital twins, training, product configurators, HMI/embedded systems, robotics, the public sector, AEC, or healthcare — with bonus points for hardware prototyping using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, embedded systems, sensors, or microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar platforms.
