Foraspec is looking for a d riller to join its teams. The headquarters is located in
Quebec City and our drilling operations are carried out in urban environments (50% of the time) and in the region (across Quebec) requiring travel and stays outside. We are looking for a person with good physical resistance related to outdoor work in all types of temperatures and weather. Work weeks are often longer than 40 hours.
Responsibilities related to the position
- Prepare drilling work and equipment;
- Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling;
- Support other team members during drilling operations;
- Collect soil samples;
- Maintain and repair the drilling rig and all drilling equipment;
- Clean the equipment;
- Safely transport and handle the drilling rig;
- Install observation wells in the drill holes;
- Supply materials during the installation of observation wells;
- Prepare daily reports and timesheets;
- Maintain an electronic "log book" for travel;
- Promote and apply the health and safety program at work.

Requirements and training
- More than 3 years of relevant drilling experience;
- DEP in diamond drilling or drilling and blasting (asset);
- Experience in mechanics and hydraulics (asset);
- Ability to perform welding (asset);
- Hold a valid driver's license;
- ASP Construction card (asset);
- Be punctual, serious, and open to learning;
- Have good physical condition and enjoy outdoor work;
- Good teamwork skills.
