Job Description Summary

As a customer equipment, installation, or related infrastructure project manager: responsible for executing the project, accounting for results, and ensuring customer satisfaction by managing project activities and resources. Responsible for planning and/or executing department operations or focused on executing professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with a certain degree of autonomy, but guided by established policies or final result analysis.

This position is authorized to modify procedures and practices related to tasks as long as the final results meet acceptability standards (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Non-turnkey or product/equipment-only projects. Responsible for overseeing the project and directing and/or directly or indirectly managing project resources for small and medium-sized projects (relative size to GE) that may include equipment only, product suites, or non-turnkey projects.
  • Based on deep knowledge of a technical discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to implement a policy/strategy.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of best practices and how their own domain integrates with others. Has practical knowledge of competition and factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Demonstrates discernment and is capable of proposing alternative solutions outside defined parameters to address more complex manufacturing processes involving a variety of technical and/or interdependent production cycles. Relies on technical experience and analytical thinking. Calls upon limited internal and external resources outside of their own teams to assist in making a decision.
  • Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues. Can lead small projects with low risk and resource needs. Explains information. Develops skills to bring team members to consensus on domain-related issues. Communicates performance expectations and can manage sensitive issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • For roles outside the United States - This role requires significant experience in the function and digital audio workstation. Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or associate degree with relevant experience).
  • For roles in the United States - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma and/or general studies diploma with at least 4 years of experience in the function).
